Historic Preservation

The Onagomingkway Chapter, NSDAR, seeks to identify, preserve and promote noteworthy historic individuals and historic sites connected to the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We strive to preserve our American cultural traditions through the practice of American arts and crafts and other cultural traditions.  We celebrate special commemorative events that support the historical, educational, and patriotic objectives of our chapter.

Genealogical research, collection, preservation, and indexing of the Onagomingkway Chapter, NSDAR, members’ family history is an important part of our mission.  We also research and record important information related to our Patriot ancestors.
